lucia is a woman who begins to feel a chill in her marriage. Her husband drifts away to spend more time in his writing, and her visiting sister seems to be spending more time with him as well. Depression, anxiety, and a nervous constitution only makes the rift deeper. Her maid is the only confident the depressed wife has in sharing her nightmares.
Then, suspicions begin to include murder plans. Is her sister and husband trying to poison her? Can her sister help Lucia get over her slump, and put more pep into her marriage? A visit to her doctor seems to confirm plans to poison her. She tells the medical man about her night mares, and premonition that someone is out to kill her.
Jealousy and fear boils. After a perceived poisoning attempt, Lucia is missing, and a mess of blood is found on her sheets. Will Gil and her sister be blamed for murder? Time passes, but with no corpse the matter drops.
Then the matter bursts back into the scene to explain the mystery of the missing Lucia, and then the explanation of the real intent behind the alleged poisoning and flirtations.
