Cathy breaks the news to Philip that she wants a divorce, and is sick of the sniveling, clingy affections of the man. In his attempt to stop her, he accidentally kills her. In panic Philip tries to cover his tracks with a hastily planned vacation to their cabin in the mountains. All he has to do is pack Cathy into a trunk, have her delivered, then work out how she fell down a mountainside while hiking.
Under the stress of his mission, the high strung Philip bounces from one emergency to another. The freight company will be here soon, so Cathy is packed and set to go. A surprise visit from a neighbor, Chuck, reveals that its his first day on the job as a ;policeman and he wanted to see the couple off.
The freight company has sent the trunk back, it seems to need repacking, but Philip can’t find the key. Chuck is back to help open the lock only to find… somebody else’s stuff. Philip has gone a notch above being high strung and just can’t stand it any longer. Figuring the freight company will uncover the contents of his trunk in ironing out the mix up, he flat out breaks down to confess to Chuck about Cathy.
Note: Philip is played by Elliot Lewis.
