Dennis opens with a song, Hey Ho the Music. With Mildred and Mrs Anderson gone on a vacation to the lake, Dennis and Mr Anderson have the run of the house. Mr Anderson shares a few words of wisdom with Dennis, about his prowess as a great lover, to encourage him in impressing Mildred.
When the gals return home, Mr anderson shows how it’s done as he lays on the affection for Mrs Anderson. Dennis plays hard to get, and tries to make Mildred jealous. When Mildred has an opposite reaction than planned, Dennis plans to go to his spinster friend, Ruth Baker for a little help in the jealousy department.
