Needing to keep his grades up and continue being the star football player, Cedric needs Abner’s help. First the guys get a laugh over Lum’s application with the matrimonial bureau. He sent in an old photo of himself, thinking he hasn’t changed in all these years.
Getting to the test that Cedric needs to pass, Abner tries too get the lad to tell him some of his subjects to study. What about words and grammar? Abner comes up with a sentence to parse, but neither can figure out any forms of speech to do it. Instead, they get distracted by dogs, and food.
How about reading a book? Cedric figures the best place to start is the beginning. He tried the other way≤ but it didn’t make a lot of sense. A phone call offers the distraction Abner needs. His dog needs rescuing from the mill pond.
