On the hot Summer day, matt talks with Chester, Doc and Kitty about the wagon train that passes through town. Spirits run high among the travelers, but Kitty and Matt know all ttoo well that the worst of their dangers lay ahead. In the morning, Doc is left a surprise. He has been left a baby to take care of.
Suspecting the baby was abandoned by someone in the wagon train, Matt hits the trail the next morning to try to catch up with the wagons. Meanwhile, the baby has been left in the care of Doc, with help from Kitty and Chester. With the word out, will the mother step forward to claim the little girl? What’s her story about leaving her baby behind? Was it merely an accident, or was it on purpose?
Not only does Jenny show up, but her soldier husband. He has been gone on the prairies of the Wild West for 2 years, and unaware of a baby. Will they reconcile, and be rejoined as a family? Doc has a secret about the baby that surprises Matt, but will it also cause any future problems with the young family?
