A killer is on the streets, preying on elderly women. Mrs Colfax is one of the lonely, older women who misses her adult son, and lives a lonely existence. Aunt Millie is an older lady who lives alone, but she has an advantage. Her nephew is a police detective, and though she lives alone, she’s not lonely.
Can aunt Millie help shed light on the motive for murder? The grocery store ran by Mr Diaz could be a key clue for the police. Besides the mystery, we learn a little of the plight of loneliness, trusting spirits, and the escalation of crime that forces people to live behind locked doors.
The cops are closing in, slowly, but closing in. Aunt Millie holds more of a clue than her nephew has first imagined.
