The audio is mostly good, except for a rough spot during Mary Lee’s recipe.
Jim thinks this country would be better off if it weren’t so sentimental over holidays. But what holiday might be happening today? Sally’s hints aren’t getting through to Jim, and her typically sunny disposition has a dark cloud shading it.
friends drop-in and Sally is reluctant to admit there’s anything wrong. She tries to defend Jim’s attitude toward things like birthdays. Shouldn’t she expect a little fun and attention on her special day? even the crotchety landlady thinks its a shame that Sally isn’t having anything special done for her. If only Jim would remember her birthday before the day is done.
Jim works late, and at 7 O’clock Sally is alone. She gets a treat from her neighbors. That lifts her spirits. Just how far should she go in defending her forgetful husband? Will he be walking into a fight once he walks through the door? Jim shows he really didn’t forget with a special gift of his own.
Audio gets poor during the Recipe of the Week.
