Preparing to wind up Abner’s disastrous trial, Lum offers hiss final suggestions. He was sure he could get Abner out of all his charges. Lum didn’t exactly look bright when it was Abner who was supposed to plead insanity. The whole fiasco could have been avoided if Lum would have let his pal settle out of court in the first place.
Feeling bad over the mishandling of the case, Lum offers to let Abner kick him. He just didn’t expect to be taken up on it, or to be kicked so hard. Will Abner be facing time in the penitentiary? His daughter, Little Pearl might be a grown-up woman by the time he’s set free.
