After avoiding investing in Lum’s stock, grandpap thinks he’s rich. Jumping on the bandwagon, Lum decided to also invest in the Banana market. As Abner takes orders over the phone, he’s surprised to hear from grandpap that thee banana stock fell. It looks like everybody lost on this deal.
Abner tries to remind grandpap that Lum offered his money back yesterday, and if there’s a drop in the market, it isn’t Lum’s fault. Grandpap thinks Lum has fled the country with his cash. Abner fears Lum has suicided hisself.
Their fears end when Lum enters to report on some good news. He pays back both of his friends and pretends humility as he claims to be the best financier ever. Dick Huddleston arrives to tell Lum his stock exchange is breaking the law, being unlicensed. How many shares are actually out there, and can Lum get them back?
