As Lum enters the store, Abner is chomping at the bit to show off what Robert can do. Abner tells how the mechanical man is now able to deliver the groceries. After 2 days, he has it worked out how to remotely control the robot.
Showing off his deliveries, Abner phones ahead to grandpap to let him know his groceries are on the way. Now that Robert is doing all the work, what will Abner do with all his free time? Cedric is the man on the street who phones in the reports of where Robert is.
Lum feels that using the robot may end up like Frankenstein, if Abner isn’t careful. The reports from Cedric keep coming, and the first hint of snafus appear. Abner has been making it look so easy to operate the remote control. Lum wants to give it a try. The latest snafu may have grandpap mad enough to chop Robert to pieces.
