The confusion is put aside as Billy Mills plays a mellow, swinging transition.
A phone call to Mirt the phone operator, reveals a train wreck of a problem for her relative. The Old Timer pops in to joke about the film the McGee’s will be making. Harlowe Wilcox spins the film situation into a sponsor message.
Wallace Wimple visits to interrupt the announcement of the Summer replacement show, Hap Hazard featuring Ransom Sherman. The mild mannered neighbor tells why he and his big old wife Sweetie Face won’t be going anywhere. Teeny pops in to tell about her favorite movie actor Will she believe Fibber will be hobnobbing with him? the Kingsmen sing, The Reluctant Dragon.
Finally, Gildersleeve pops in to tell his little chum goodby. He’ll be moving to Summerfield, so won’t be back in the fall. All he needs is to pick up his lawn mower that Fibber borrowed. fibber claims to have the bill of sale for it… right there in the hall closet… too bad Molly just cleaned it up.
