Valentines Day is coming, and Alice plans some stragedy with the girls to drop hints for Phil. Phil plans to rush right out to get a present, but he’s interupted by the news from Alice that a big bouquet of flowers just arrived. She assumed they are from Phil, but he’s a little worried about who is really behind the delivery.
On another track, Phil tells about his high hopes that Frankie will rebound into a new career after being fired last week. His hope is crushed once Frankie shows up selling shoe laces, and tries to lay blame and pity at Phils feet. More flowers are delivered, which make Alice gush, and Phil to grow more concerned over the mystery flowers. Alice is so happy she sings, Skip to My Loo. Wow, she must be so in love over the flowers that she has lost control, and sings a song about… going to the bathroom? No pun intended.
After recovering from a flubbed line, Phil and Frankie decide to settle their curiosity, especially when the flood of flowers just keeps on coming. Phil takes time to sing, Minnie the Mermaid.
In the downtown flower shop Phil expresses his jealousy. He spots Julius going into the shop, and is suspicious that he’s the one pulling the prank. Julius is sassy, and gets in some good jabs of his own, but it looks like he may not be the one.
Julius manages to stir up trouble with another client of the flower shop. When Phil runs out of eyes to blacken, Julius tries to drag Remley into the mix. Later, the truth of the flowers comes out.
PS: I have to say that the secret admirer of the story was pretty much who I figured it was from the beginning. Love those opening scens with the girls, and their reminders.
