Sometimes titled: Diplomat Gildy.
Gilddy grumbles over Leroy’s choices in friends, and hopes a man to man chat about current events and ongoing troubles overseas will temper the situation. Maybe one of Birdie’s lemon pies will sooth Gildy’s temper, and inner beast. A knock at the door finds Craig Bullard at the door, though he isn’t Leroy’s favorite friend, he agrees to do the diplomatic thing, and build snow forts in the yard.
The peace and quiet of the morning is broken when Marjorie ducks out of the raging snow ball fight going on, followed by a crying Craig Bullard. Is Leroy at fault? We’re the snow balls loaded with rock, or just packed hard? It doesn’t take long until Mr Bullard is on hand to give Gildy a piece of his mind over the great man’s parenting skills.
Leaving church on Sunday, Gildy Greets people, and walks Leila Ransom home. The encounters only deepen the mood with the Bullard, and even Birdie’s lunch can’t seem to turn Gildy around. This is a job for Peavey to bestow some words of wisdom.
Life has tossed lemons into Gildy’s path, but will he be able to make lemonade out of it? How about lemon pie? Although Birdie’s problem has solved itself, and the Kids have reconciled with the Bullard’s, Gildy still holds a grudge. The example of the kids is all it takes for putting Bullard and Gildy in a forgiving mood. Will all this family love set the stage for global harmony to flourish?
