In getting help with a school paper, Cedric had copied down Abner’s letter to an advice column. Today, Abner talks on the phone to review his troubles with his poppa. Lum arrives in need of his own love advice. Does Miss Emaline care for him, as much as he does for her? Abner’s advice… don’t get married. Especially to no woman.
Letters have arrived for Abner. Is it from his relatives in Texas he never got to visit? Lum points out the postmarks, and the return on the advice letter is from kids from Cedric’s class. What kind of suggestions do the little varmints offer? Lets just say the scholars may get Abner humiliated, but Lum gets a kick out of the replies.
Is Abner not romantic enough? Prittleprattle! Rack em up and shoot again! Should Abner actually ride in on a snowhite charger to sweep his woman off her feet? Though he storms out, the ideas give Lum ideas on courting Miss Emaline.
