With his faithful Indian companion, the Lone Ranger led the fight to tame the Western plains. As the Westbound train pulled into the little town, Dan Reed arrives to find Tonto waiting for him at the station. They watch as a hobo crawls out from under a carriage, and is stopped by the sheriff. Something is pulled from the hobos coat pocket, and gunshots are fired. Who would be shooting? Was the target the sheriff, or the hobo? Tonto and Dan didn’t wait around to learn all the details, but rode to tell the Lone Ranger what they witnessed.
Meanwhile, we learn of a conspiracy where a man had been purposely staged to ambush, and shoot hobos who got off the Westbound trains. The boss kicks up his plans a notch.
Note: There’s some record noise, but otherwise the audio is excellent. Also I think this may actually be from a later date, but it likely also aired on the date listed.
