Audio seems to have a motor hum, probably from a record player. Otherwise, its OK.
After all Gracie’s pranks lately, George has to put his foot down, and none of her usual feminine wiles work on him. He even goes as far as demanding she kick out their recent border, Meredeth Willson. Bill Goodwin enters to hear how the Burns home is breaking up.
Running downtown to do her marketing, Gracie learns that Kaye Kaiser is in need of a place to stay. Before she knows it, she has invited him over. The exhausted bandleader only wants a place to rest his head in sleep.
Figuring he needs to take matters into his own hands in getting rid of Meredeth, George tells Bill about a booby trap he rigged up. Later, when Gracie wants to show southern hospitality to Kaye, she gives him Meredeth’s bed. Can Gracie conceal her new house guest? George isn’t buying the pretense that Gracie is a lush, but he thinks the mint julep she has is for Meredeth.
George is ready to spring his trap on the tired Kaye. Bill is on hand for a recap of the trap’s torture, and after a pitch for the sponsor leaves. Will the secret of who is actually asleep be revealed? Will Meredeth soon be finding somewhere else to stay?
