From out of the past come the thundering hooves of the great horse, Silver. The Lone Ranger rides again!
In the mission town of San Pedro, the ringing bells were a comfort to all who lived near by, indians and white pioneers alike. Old man Jessup was a prospector, and had a homestead where he raised his wife and family. For two years the bells have fallen silent when famine spread through the land. Financial support from the chapel has long dried up, but not for the lack of the parson’s work.
Lone Ranger and Tonto wonder over the happenings, and the activities of an outlaw known as the Crimson Mask. In disguise, Lone Ranger goes to town to learn about how a syndicate from back East took over the gold mine, and channeled money to their own pockets, but not to the chapel. When the old prospector has died, his son dropped out of sight, and the Crimson Mask began riding through the land, and robbing.
The sheriff suspects who the Lone Ranger really is, and tells why he feels that the son, Bob Jessup, is the Crimson Mask. In recent months though the Crimson Mask has been silent. Later, Tonto and the Masked Man encounter young Bob, who heads back to to town to visit his mom. Widow Jessup is in failing health, and not long for this world. Still, the sheriff has to do his duty and arrest Bob, but agrees to wait until she dies. The trouble is that once Bob has returned, the widow perks up, and shows signs of a full recovery. What shame will she feel when Bob is arrested anyway? Bob has layed off being the Crimson Mask when he found a gold strike that he has been working, and returned to honest work. Even though Bob has returned the money to all he stole from, and has gone straight, will he still face arrest?
Tonto has been lurking, and races to the Lone Ranger. What plan will he form to save the day? Will the syndicate man insist on his vengence on Bob, or be forgiving? Will the sheriff actually go through with his arrest? Will there be a happy family reunion, or will they be torn apart over the judgements of the legal system? Ride along for the adventure and learn.
