Rochester gets a bath ready for Jack, but after all the preparations, Jack decides to abandon the fleet of ships and rubber duck for a shower. Rochester’s mundane house work is interrupted by what sounds like a gunshot, and another violin lesson from professor LaBlanc. How will the nusic teacher feel about Jack’sa attempt at his scales, Shine Little Glow Worm, and bits of pop music? Phil and the band plays a jazzy transitional tune.
With the lesson over, Jack’s visit to the vault to pay his teacher is side tracked when Dennis Day visits. They talk about the football game the dayt before, and buying Christmas cards. Creaking and spooky sound affects announce the visit to the vault, and Ed the security guard. Will LaBlanc ever get his money? First a musical commercial from the Sportsmen. They sing a version of Ragtime Cowboy Joe that explodes into a “Wait a minute” moment for Jack.
Jack is distracted by Phil Harris, who shows off the birthday present he got for Alice. The boys in the Beaver Scouts meet Phil, and a new kid is introduced. Will he believe the bragging, and accomplishments that Jack has tried to pass off on the kids? After Phil leaves, Jack plays a little football with the kids.
Rochester saves the day for Jack, but will LaBlanc get paid?
