In town for just long enough to pick up their prisoner and leave, Jingles can’t wait to leave the wild little town. When a technicality arises, the prisoner has his sentence extended, and Bill has to wait word from the capitol. But is there something fishy going on?
The telegrapher confirms to Jingles that the population in town is so crooked, they need to screw their shirts on in the morning. Guns soon blaze, but it could be our favorite lawmen who find themselves in the courtroom for contempt.
Spotting a racket of kick backs, Bill plays the crooks against the sheriff and judge to get what he wants. The tables turn more than once before Bill and Jingles can fight their way clear.
