Stories of intense terror that might make the squeamish want to turn off their radio, and not listen.
A story set in modern times, but before the war rationing, and when lifestyles were more extravagant. Two humble fishermen feel it their duty to warn the lord of the manor. Lord Marley thinks quite lowly of the two, calling them rogues, and scoundrels. As the lord talks to the lady of the house, it is revealed that his expected guest will be a woman movie star from Hollywood. She is supposed to be a client, in need of sorting out financial affairs. It sounds to me more like he’s having a regular old affair, and right in front of his wife too.
The client is a fading star who is brash, blunt talking, even fowl mouthed as she admits to the wife all about her intentions to steal the lord away from her. Both are very confident of their abilities to win the lord and keep him.
Remember that warning at the beginning of the show? what was that all about? On an evening boat trip, the lord and his lover have a terrifying experience, but what are those strange splashes? In the dark it’s too hard to tell. Is there anybody who can offer help against a sea monsterp? The story may be a little odd, but the acting, and production will have your imagination racing. The raging monster will only be satisfied when… well just listen to this thriller from Arch Obeler.
