At the Dillard farm, Abner arrives to help grandpap get moved in. Noticing freshly recovered rocking chairs, the temptation to sit and chat is overwhelming. Aunt Charity calls for help from grandpap, but the gents are caught up in the age of the chairs, ordering from the Wish Book, and memories of the old place.
Abner has a secret about the mineral spring, and a plan Lum hinted at not losing out on it as well. Will grandpap ever answer the calls from Charity?
The rockers aren’t quite enough, and Abner asks about the hammock. The gents complain about laziness in other folks, as they enjoy a soothing day, rocking their cares away.
