The discussion of the comics section in the morning paper is interrupted when David enters. Will Ozzie up his allowance to finance extra sodas at the malt shop? The kid has to hear how Ozzie had to toil over mowing lawns to earn an extra dime. Will ideas of being industrious spark David’s imagination? Gloria the maid offers her ideas on getting extra money. How does she budget her money and savings?
Downtown, David finds a buyer, and sells an old coat of his dad’s. Is this what Ozzie meant when he said to find something to sell? The show transitions with the orchestra singers performing, The Man I Love.
As Ozzie strolls down the street, he meets neighbor, Emmy Lou, who needs advice with her boyfriend Larry. The fickle dame wants to win her man back with the latest in perfume scents. Will the clash with her overwhelming perfume be a later cause of contention with Harriet? Another misunderstanding has tough guy, William Bendix,, threatening to get Ozzie for running around on his girl. Will it shake Harriet’s faith in her husband?
The encounter with the tough boyfriend of Lana puts Ozzie on the spot, and though Harriet defends him, its only until the man leaves. It takes David entering to explain the mystery of the missing coat, and other mix ups.
