For the last show of the season, there could be concern over having Phil be brought back in the Fall. Will Mr Scot’s boardroom of yes men reach a decision, or will it be left to the stockholders? In the Harris home, Phil plans on doing a circus act with Alice in the off season. The girls want summer jobs too, but Alice puts her foot down. Phil sings, Possibilities.
Frankie enters with his own ideas for jobs for Phil and Alice. His vaudeville gig is less than appealing. Frankie claims he has invested in stock, and can afford to retire for life. As a stockholder, he is now technically Phil’s boss. For that matter, Frankie has become Mr Scot’s boss as well, and confronts the stodgy gent in his office. Is there word on the vote to keep Phil on for next season?
Phil calls on his friends for support, but Julius shows up, and does his best to rock the boat, and make Phil worry. Will his confidence get any boosts when Grogan arrives? It’s time for the vote, and the landslide looks to bury Phil. Though Frankie wields his 1 share of stock, Grogan has a truckload of the stuff. Does it matter that the ink is still wet on it? Alice has her way of saving the day.
