Or, The English Test
Final exam time has come to Madison High, and Connie Brooks feels the rush to get through breakfast and get her graded tests to school. She takes time to report to Mrs Davis on school matters. Instead of the expected Walter Denton, Mr Conklin pops in. He wants Connie to ensure that the school has the winning essay.
Walter brings cheerful tidings, but his loose lips are unaware that the topic of their discussion, Mr Conklin, is listening. When Conklin leaves, Walter tells about a party at Stretch’s, and Mr Boynton is invited as well.
What will the clueless biology teacher do, when confronted by Connie about the party? Stretch is feeling bad, since he has to cancel his event. Is there a way Connie can help him study, and win points with his dad in getting things back on track?
though Connie has to pick up the award cup from Mr Jansen the janitor, he may be the one person who has the best grasp on the English language than the rest in school. elsewhere, Stretch struggles with his English lesson as the grammar, and participles fly. But does he actually grasp the fundamentals? Time to hand out that award.
