A valuable piece of art has been bequeathed to the hallowed halls of Ivy College. As the situation is put before Doc Hall, a complicated predicament is his to untangle. Is the painting a fake? Art experts conflict on it’s genuineness. If real, it’ll be a nice addition to add, and display. If fake, it can be sold off, and a few thousand dollars could still help the campus.
The big complication is that ownership of the artwork is in limbo. The former owner, and claimant of its legitimacy, has shipped the package. the only way to validate it is for the owner to authorize it’s opening. With no owner present, Toddy could sign on the dotted line, then it’s property of the college. Should he gamble on the glory, or shame the artwork might bring?
What to do… how to decide… Stodgy campus faculty, namely Mr Wellman, is willing to play it safe. Reject the art, sell it off at a pittance, and be done with it. I get the feeling that is the wrong choice, and Toddy plays it for the gamble. What is it that causes his decision one way or another? Listen, and enjoy the latest fun with Ronald and Bonita Coleman, as Toddy and Vicky Hall.
