Gildy has recruited Leroy to help spy on the new neighbor. What kind of activities are going on that interest him so much? No matter what Bullard plans on doing to fix up his property, Gildy has decided to do a project of his own to counteract it. Leila visits and Gildy recounts a little of why he has a chip on his shoulder over the new neighbor.
Birdie points out that Marjorie is a little upset, but what can the 16 year old have in her life that bothers her? Bullard comes over to share a cigar, and talk about the kids with Gildersleeve, and a little ice is broken. Will this be the beginning of a friendship? Will there be the chance for asking favors? Has Gildy figured out that Bullard’s teenage son is the thing that has Marjorie a little hot and bothered?
Popping into Peavey’s, Gildy talks about the prospect of marrying off Marjorie to Bullard’s son. Better watch out, I’ll bet Marjorie will have something to say about this. She may be interested, but she won’t want to be pushed. If Gildy plays his cards right the teenagers might hit it off without his help. Listen in and see how young love develops… or not.
