George and Gracie talk with the cast about Gracie’s appearance in election campaign parades. The political convention discussion turns to the topic of dating. A flashback of the recent convention is presented, and Gracie gives a speech to go over her campaign promises. Which is, of course, a set of jokes about women and family relations.
Frank Parker sings, I Love You My Dear. Hey, that’s the theme song for the Dennis Day show. As her campaign manager, George wants to express his ideas, but nobody is taking him seriously. Before her trip to campaign in San Fransisco, Gracie is advised to get rid of George. She and the cast brainstorm ideas to do the deed. They all try to talk George into feeling like he has an incurable disease.
Ray Noble plays a swinging tune. The cast have done their job, and the scene changes to George in his hospital room, and the medical jokes keep on coming.
