A story of the 21st century. A man receives a robot by mistake. He knows he shouldn’t keep it, but he puts it together… just to se how it looks, but he won’t activate it. It looks great so he turns it on, just to check his handiwork.
The wife has dozens of chores, the robot is compliant, even to do some things for the man. Seeing the usefulness of the robot, he seeks legal advice. The robot turns out to be an experimental model, not intended to be shipped. We find out that these machines are far from cheap, and our family may have some explaining to do if they are found out, but since they never registered the thing, maybe it’ll be OK to just pack him up and send him back? .
Too late, the robot, to prevent going back, has registered himself. He is a reproduction model and soon the house is full of little robots. The man can’t sell them off, the robot won’t let his family be broken up. Now the IRS is auditing the man and how he can own so many expensive robots. When his lawyer gives no hope, the robot, and his offspring defend the man.
