A Ray Bradbury story brought to life. After three failed missions to Mars that have vanished from existence, a fourth one sets out. Finding a glaringly vacant city, and Martian bodies seems to mean the end of the vanishing spaceships. Martian bodies show the signs of being killed by chicken pox.
Still, when the celebrating space men leave their mark on the planet. Defacing and disrespecting the lonely Martian landscape, one astronaut finds the spirit of the Martians and takes his own revenge on their behalf. Is he right to do so? Is there a lesson to be learned here about being the ugly American invaders?
Excellent Ray Bradbury prose is inserted as narrative as the drama unfolds.
