Still without a sponsor, Phil has the chance to play golf with Mr Scot. If things go the right way, will he pick up Phil’s option for a new season? Can Alice, or Frankie add anything to convince the sponsor to renew the show? Sure of a win, Frankie wants in on the betting action, as long as Mr Scot will take his personal check. Mr Scot wants the game on his terms, which means he picks the course, the caddy, and he wins. Reluctantly, Phil decides to throw the game, but Remley has brought in his own scorekeeper, Grogan. Alice and Willie tag along where there may not be much game action going on, just a lot of jokes flying. In the end, Grogan ensures that Phil wins, but Mr Scot may still extend hope for our heroes.
Note: Phil mentions Eddy Peabody. He was a well known banjo player. In real life, Phil really was a good golfer, and hung out with Bing Crosby and others on the golf course.
