Following a military unit from training to France on D-Day. Men and the toughness it takes to win battles. Groucho is still joking about the nonexistent, and fictional sponsor, Plebo.
Anzio Pinia joins Talulah for some joking about his film with Lana Turner. Anzio sings, September Song. What will Anzio think about Groucho? Baby Snooks and Hanley Stafford tour the studio. They are to be contestants on Groucho’s quiz show. First, Snooks does some verbal sparring with Talulah, and the gals discuss beauty tips.
Groucho returns and sings, Some Enchanted Evening, complete with comic asides. Talulah takes part in performing a dramatic scene from, Sentiments. The lovesick dame pines over her lost love. Jane Powell sings, It’s a Most Unusual Day.
In a spoof of his quiz show, You Bet Your Life, Groucho takes on Baby Snooks and Hanley Stafford. In the typical fashion of getting to know his contestants, Groucho gets a rise out of daddy Higggins. The game begins with the category of Presidents of the USA, and Snooks gets the better of the betting to raise their money as high as she can. Meredith and Talulah get their chance to compete as well. After being teased a bout her film career, the topic for Talulah is first names of movie stars. Jane Powell and Anzio Pinza team up. Groucho learns about the 19 year old Jane, and pokes fun at Anzio’s background. There’s time for the singers to show off their musical chops as they answer the topic.
Talulah gets one final round of teasing from Groucho, and sings us out.
