In a train station, the Whistler points out the humanity that passes through. Certain characters are pointed out, namely Cartier, a former stage magician. Why is he being taken by gun point to a high-rise apartment? Is his career over, due to unpaid gambling debts? Suddenly, all the agents turn their backs on signing the big time magician for bookings.
With a deadline drawing near,, will Goldberg reconsider, and give Cartier a break? Mingling at a party, Cartier is able to put his magic to work for the crowd. Will Sandra, a model, be able to lend him a hand? His new hypnotism act stands to do more than just entertain.
Is there something to the powers of clairvoyance? Will it save the magician from his troubles, or just get him in deep with the cops. If only Cartier knew what the Whistler knows, his ending may have turned out differently.
