When Gildersleeve learns about a new hockey player at school that has both Leroy and Marjorie gushing about him, although for different reasons, he isn’t so impressed. Is Gildy doing the right thing by keeping his kids from associating with the athlete? When the hockey player picks up Marjorie for a date, he has to meet with Gildy’s approval.
After forbidding a date, Gildy later feels bad over it, and changes his mind. Can he make up for his decision, and regain favor from Marjorie?
Usually it’s Gildersleeve who goes to Peavey for advice, but today Marjorie goes to drown her sorrows in a milk shake or two. It doesn’t take long before Peavey is acting as moderator to Gildersleeve as well. Inspired, Gildy wants to throw Marjorie a party for all her girlfriends. On the right track, but I think the point Peavey was driving at was to have a coed party. While Gildersleeve has made his plans, so has Marjorie. To keep things from getting worse between them, Gildy saves the day by a compromise for a successful party, and Marjorie’s private date on the ice with her hockey player.
