Robbery detail. The cops are tracking a pair of hold up men, who have no pattern to their spree of crime.
Starting their day, Joe Friday and Ben Romero get breakfast. Ben whips up a Spanish omelet for Joe, since his mother is away. The discuss some of the violent robberies, and the senselessness of it, as Joe comments on the concoction Ben is cooking. But the guys don’t have time to eat the best omelet Ben ever made. The kid bandits are at it again.
On the crime scene of the little shop, the shaken store owner gives his testimony as he witnessed the events of the hold up. A matchbook, and an address, lead to more clues and possible suspects. Names are turned up, then mugshots, and identifications begin to be made
The trail leads to a dance studio on the fourth floor. Stakeouts are set, but the bandits are still on the loose, but they’ve gotten sloppy and one is picked up. With the pressure on, gunshots, and chases on foot mean the bad guys are taken down, but Ben needs to return to a local cafe. The Spanish omlets are just like the ones he makes. I wonder if they’re as good.
