Eddie has his hands full, starting with girl troubles, and entries in a beauty contest. He seems to at least win an early victory over his off the microphone rival, Otto.
First, he has to help Mr Monahan in some legal trouble where a customer is suing the man over an aleged mix up, and a matter of swallowing a handful of carpet tacks. Is that even possible?
Monahan uses his typical bullying style to recruit Eddies help. Forcing him to swallow the tasty treats in the goodie bag, then dragging him to a doctor for some x-rays. Will the results be conclusive for evidence in court? Has Eddie been poisoned? No time to spend in worrying. It’s off to see the jude.
Plot twists all come to a tangled mess when the judge doesn’t have x-rays to look at. Will the disgruntled customer win the case? Monahan bullies his way through the legal red tape, tossing the legal system aside for his version of common sense. If the judge didn’t have x-ray pictures, what did he have? Let’s just say it was something far more attractive than Eddie’s innards. In the end, the legal matter is resolved, but what ever became of that beauty contest, or Eddie’s date? Or for that matter… Otto?
