The idea of having a sponsor, but not able to say who it is has given Phil nightmares. The rumors have all his friends haunting his dreams. When he wakes, it isn’t any better. Will they get any where if Phil, Alice, and Frankie go to talk to Mr Scot in person? If Phil can get Mrs Scot a job in show biz, the trouble might be resolved. Mrs Scot is a determined woman, but that doesn’t make her a good singer.
Phil sings his new recording for Victor records, and an instant hit for him, The Thing. The song spawns the perpetual question for him… “What is the Thing anyway?”
After the musical interlude, will Phil reveal what the thing is? Though Frankie thinks Mrs Scot’s voice is horrible, Phil listens other sing the scale, and even does a duet with her in, the Indian Love Call. Kind of good… but in a bad way?
