The hopped up jalopy is the norm on high school campuses these days, and Miss Brooks tells about her recent encounter to Mrs Davis. Connie plans to propose to Conklin, a police force of students has been empowered to govern themselves. What are the latest modifications that Walter has added to his own jalopy? At school, Connie pitches her idea on the driving class, and self governing. It isn’t considered, until Mr Boynton makes the suggestions. That and a little reverse psychology.
The idea is so good, it catches the attention of Mr Stone, the director of the school board, and the suggestion that teachers also come under the jurisdiction of the system is included. The recently commissioned safety patrolman, Walter shows off his authority to his pal Stretch. After working on Mr Conklin’s car to straighten a fender, Stretch tells Connie about a few extra modifications he made.
Finished with the class work, Connie takes her pupils on the street for some driving practice. Since its his car being used, Conklin insists he do the driving, but refuses to listen to Connie about those modifications that were made. Get ready for some crazy driving at the hand of the slow burning, hypertensive principal. I’ll bet a newly commissioned safety patrolman will end up in this picture.
Note: Though this may be about driving mishaps, the title doesn’t quite do it justice.
