With Cedric as his lacky, Lum buys expensive cigars, that he has trouble smoking. Is Lum hobnobbing with the famous movie stars, and executives now? Lum puts on airs, and needs his gloves to ring the phone to return that long distance call.
Who is that feller who called? His name is familiar, but Lum can’t quite place it.
Abner has about had enough, and regrets his decision. Won’t Lum come back to the store? A fire alarm spells disaster, and Lum finally remembers who that phone call was from.
