Audio is good, just a little reverb.
The plan to teach Lum a lesson by being delivery boy for the store hasn’t been working out as well as Abner expected. Today, Grandpap reads from the almanac, much to Abner’s annoyance. Abner would rather hear about the gossip from the supper held in Lum’s honor. As much as Abner orders Lum around, Lum keeps causing the plans to backfire.
As Abner bemoans his frazzled condition, grandpap points out a flubbed line, gets confused over the work in the store, and a note from Lum raises more questions. Though Lum is polite to Abner’s face, and doing the chores, Abner gets annoyed at Lum’s cheerfulness and singing.
A new problem for Abner arises when Lum announces he joined a delivery boy union, and demands higher wages. Since when did this union come to be? How many people are in it?
Abner gets the chance to spout out the national concern of inflation and keeping it in control by controlling wages. Amid the flubs, Lum sees the point, and decides to withdraw his request.
