Still taking the show on the road for a bond tour, Gracie and George talk about their current town, Philedelphia. Bill Goodwin talks with guest, Franchot Tone, about their night on the town. With an apparent shortage of hotel rooms, Gracie sneaks her way into securing one for her and George. Jimmy Cash sings, Where Are You.
As they get tucked in for the night Gracie dreams that Franchot is George. Not that she could ever dream of being with anybody else other than good old George. Still, her dream with the role reversal is a good one.
Billy Mills plays, The Girlfriend. Jimmy Cash sings, I Couldn’t Sleep a Wink Last Night. The next day Gracie is feeling guilty over her dream, but her night dreams start becoming her daytime reality. To the confusion of Franchot. The vocalists sing, Rosie O’Grady.
Note: The gag with the dream sequence was a classic that was repeated a different times, substituting stars like Gary Cooper and others as Gracie’s dream man.
