Grandpap can’t believe that Squire wants to sue for $1000. That much money would break the government. The phone rings with word from Lum, but confusion breaks out when Cedric arrives. Both he and grandpap want to tlk long distance.
The whole phone call is everybody taking turns saying hello to each other. Mousey arrives to adlib his own hellos. Will Abner ever get the news from Lum before time is up on the call?
Grandpapshares that he actually heard Lum say the case wasn’t going well. It all hangs on that apology letter, and grandpap suggests they break in and steal it from Squire. Hmmm…you know this won’t go well.
