No more witnesses are called, and the lawyers meet with the judge. Time to send the matter to the jury, and Abner discusses this prospects with grandpap. Is the penintenttary in his future?
Is the evidence overwhelming in Squire’s favor? Will this be a clear cut decision for Squire? When the case is at it’s darkest moment, Lum races in with new evidence? Squire is called back to the stand, and Lum reveals truth about Squire’s x-ray that makes him withdraw the charge. Case dismissed.
