Special guest today is, Bert Lahr. Peter VanSeetin plays, and the Merrymacks sing, Good Morning to You. Fred jokes about the unexpected heat in October. Portland arrives and talks with Fred about last week’s show. Hasn’t anybody heard any reviews of last week’s show? So far, no good. Even the new singer Winnie Murray gets in on the joking around. From the jokes, it appears that Winnie is either a very tiny woman, or a large one.

To improve things Fred starts the show over at a faster pace. Winnie Murray sings, Comes Love.

Peter VanSeetin plays some transitioning music, Little Man Who Wasn’t There. Quiz time. Totally unrehearsed, three contestants are call to the stage. A New York bartender, a Boston woman who works for the gas company. A New York man who is a chiropractor. Fred lets loose with the adlibs as he chats it up with his contestants who’ll win even if they miss the three easy questions.

The Merrymacks sing, Do You Ever Think of Me.

Station break for the second half of the show. Fred calls on his invited guest, Bert Lahr, known as the Funniest Man in the World, and the Cowardly Lion. Fred turns the stage over to Bert who talks about the events of his day. Fred and Portland offer comments to help move his dialog along. Not feeling funny today, Bert turns the conversation to Hollywood, then his Broadway parts. Bert Sings, Roses of Bacardi.
