After Abner nearly fired the carpenters, Lum has them back on the job to remodel the cotton warehouse into a movie theater. Today grandpap talks with Abner about the expense of a good movie projector. Grandpap thinks the idea of the movie theater is too good to be true.
When Lum enters, Abner tells how he may have saved money by not building a new slanting floor. Just jack up one side of the building. What other improvements will Lum be surprised by?
Lum goes through his check list. Chairs are needed. Lum uses the expression, Spend money to make money. But fends Abner off, as he tries to explain postal zones instead. I grannies! What’s that?
