Passing the torch of operating the movie projector to Cedric, more discussion of the movie theater can be made. Slanting floors, a second hand movie screen, and a curtain to cover it by hanging advertisements on, but Abner needs some explaining as to how the ads make sense, or will earn them money.
A map of town, with signs on various buildings gets Abner confused when the Jot Em Down store isn’t shown right, or in the right place. Lum ends up in a compromise, to tell folks the store has moved to a new location.
The matter of naming the theater is the next topic to discuss. Lum thinks Lum’s Lyric theater sounds nice, but Abner has his own ideas on a name. Does Abner’s theater names sound too back woodsy for Lum? More compromises are reached when the decision winds up in a vote. I think this will take some time before they land on a good theater name.
