The time has come for opening day at the rival movie theaters. The crowd of youngsters outside the theater is impressive, but Lum has to tell them why the matinee has been cancelled. The ladies Uplift League has objected to not only showing the picture to the kids, but not even to show it in Pine Ridge at all.
As the disappointed crowd of kids go away, Lum tells Abner about the scene of Sister Simpson barging in to present a letter of demands. Just about every woman in town, including Lizabeth has signed the petition to ban their movie. Is there any legal objection to keep them from showing the Vulture’s Revenge?
Lum wonders how they could object so badly to a movie they had never seen before. How about a special screening for the ladies?
