Mousey enters to review the early opening of Squire’s movie theater. A matter that frustrates Lum. Abner is busy rerunning their movie. Is it because he needs the practice, or has the movie grown on him? Lum tells Mousey about the western film, and the adventure scenes.
Abner is caught up in the western lingo and action of the hero, Texas Jim, as he enters. Seeing the film 5 times now, Abner tells Mousey about the damsel in distress who is being stolen from by the Vulture… but Lum has to keep cutting in to correct him on the details. Don’t give it away, Mousey hasn’t seen it yet.
The pretty little actress may need a rescue by Texas Jim, but she sure has a way of taming the wild cowboy. How does it end? Do they live happily ever after? Lum may not know, but he gets inspired to open early for a free preview of the show. Which theater will do best when they open the same night?
