After learning how to run a movie projector, Abner has returned, and is going to show Cedric how to do it. While he and Lum wait, Abner tells about his hotel stay. Why does Lum insist on Cedric learning to run the projector when Abner just went through all the training? Being a partner in owning the theater, it wouldn’t be dignified to have Abner do such menial work.
What if Cedric can’t understand the high tech language Abner uses in the technical terms of projector operation? Will they need to call in an interpreter? The matter of a need for an interpreter gets Abner a little suspicious and confused.
Cedric arrives, but Abner is doubtful that the boy will ever catch on. Going through the first lesson, step by step, Abner describes the do jiggers, and and complicated stuff, as Cedric stays a step ahead to point out the item that Abner is having trouble remembering the names to, and how they work.
