Though the mayor, and political rival has ousted Gildy in the last episode, a phone call from Fibber McGee extends a million dollar deal for Gildersleeve. Marjorie needs a new dress, and Leroy’s buttering her up in her fashion sense turns into a sibling quarrel. Gildy dreams of the changes and money he’ll make in partnership with McGee.
Visiting judge Hooker, a contract is begun, but details will have to wait until a letter arrives from Wistful Vista. Is Fibber’s invention some kind of war project? Will Leila Ransom be impressed at how big a man Gildy will become in his new venture? He croons to her, Someday I’ll Find You. Will Gildy finally be getting serious with Leila, or will it be hard to give up his playboy ways?
