Ann williams is in the Blue Note to talk to Casey and Ethylbert about the latest case that she’s working on. A matter of theft soon emerges. when the cops get involved, a busboy is found to be suspected of stealing a valuable ring.
Harold explains his innocence and some inside facts about a gangster who is sitting on the missing stash of jewels. Louie is Harolds cousin, so he manages to take the cops, and Ann wwilliams to his apartment without much trouble. Finding the stash of stolen goods will prove the story Harold tells, but when our gang returns to the scene, it’s all gone. Does Loui suspect something?
The bad guys soon recognize Casey, and the cops for who they are, and the smoke screen of lies comes out to try to place blame elsewhere. Still, there’s enough clues to get suspicions arouse.
